The Red River

The single Red River streamliner was built by ACF along side the International. In fact the RPO-baggage car and coaches for both trains shared the same lot number, and the lot numbers for both train's cars were co-mingled. Therefore, advertisements featuring the Red River are also of interest.

Goodall Fabrics supplied the upholstery for the seats. Note the custom-stitched pattern in the Red River cars was a stalk of wheat, whereas on the International it was a pine tree.

3M - another famous company headquartered in St Paul - supplied the electrical insulating tape used by the electricians who wired the cars. Scotch 33 is still a quality product and has been used in 1146's restoration.
